YES!!!! I am now the proud owner of Sacrifice. It shocked me that the book store even had it. They usually are late getting in new releases. I've been peeking at it but haven't actually started it yet. I need to go on to bed...but maybe one little chapter. Hmmmm, but then I probably won't be able to sleep trying to figure out everything that might happen.

Everywhere I look I see something advertised for Star Wars TV programs, books, or stamps. That's a good thing though...hopefully Star Wars will never die out.

I've seen a couple of programs listed as coming on this week, some biographies and another special. I'm not sure if they're reruns or something new.

It's started out a weird week at work but if I get through it I have a few days I'm taking off next week. I can't wait. I have a billion and one things planned to do.

If you have any veterans in your family then this is a special day, VE Day.

Oh, I don't want to go to work today. I don't feel well and would just like to sit quietly somewhere and let my mind rest. But there's too many things going on this week. Two out of town things to deal with and a mountain of paperwork.

Let's see...it's Tuesday, what comes on tonight? I have to have something to look forward to.

I though today at work would NEVER be over with. I've come to the conclusion that I don't particularly like my job. And the people I work with...it would be OK if I never saw them again.

It was a fight to watch Supernatural. as always on Thursdays, I was late getting home from work and was trying to finish cooking before the show came on and the phone kept ringing and somebody kept wanting this and that. Anyway...Dean and Sam do Prison Break is what this should have been called. They even made those ugly orange suits look hot. You could see Dean adapting to the situation, he could hold his own if ever locked up, but Sammy...

I even liked the little side story with the special agent. The woman...can't remember her name...sending them to the wrong cemetery was great.

THIS IS A LITTLE SPOILERY so I'm warning you now...don't come back at me later griping about I ruined the show for you, blah, blah, blah.

Oh, I really got a kick out of Gary Cole being on Supernatural last night. I still think "Sheriff Buck!!!" every time I look at him. I liked all the little jokes, the reference to Bogeyman, the 666 thing, the sets, Sam being basically clueless about all these horror movies. Apparently, Dean must have watched them during the years Sam was at college or else while Sam was asleep. You'd figure after practically living in motels all his life, Sam would be more familiar with the wonderful horror movies that often grace late night TV. He's really bad off for at least not knowing Poltergeist.

The look on Sam's face though when they passed the Gilmore Girls set was priceless. Wasn't Sam's name on that show "Dean"??? I think maybe it was, how weird.

Dean trying to fit in with the rest of the crew was hilarious and kind of touching in a way. He found something that interested him and it made me wonder what kind of person Dean would have been without hunting.

I know it's been said before but I think the writers, producer, whoever are very much aware of some of the fans' kink concerning Dean and Sam...you know, Dean/Sam. The look on Sam's face while he was standing outside Tara's trailer and it was rocking and then Dean walks out...pure jealousy.

Hey...usually I have pretty crummy dreams, especially when I'm not feeling well, but last night's, though full of that weird, makes no sense stuff too, also included Sam from Supernatural. I'm curious why it was Sam, oh I like him plenty well enough...who wouldn't...but Dean's the one I have a soft spot for. Anyway, he was standing there talking, smiling, looking even bigger and taller than he does on TV, hands moving as he's talking...but there's no sound. And since I have yet to perfect the art of lip reading, I have no clue what he said. Hmmmm...dream interpretation anyone?

Well, my little writing muse or whatever the hell it's called has apparently packed up his/her bags and left me. I wonder if it's a temporary desertion or if it's a permanent thing.

Ahhhh...I need to go to bed. Strange ideas about life come upon me in the wee hours of the morning. Such as wtf am I doing here at this place at this time in my life and why am I with the person I'm with? I have this nasty suspicion that one day I will just get up and say stick it to one and all and take myself elsewhere. I like comfort and stability but my mind keeps telling me I'm insane for the choices I've made the last few years and if I don't fix it soon I'll lose my chance.

Huh, you know I'm out of it. I went all day without registering the fact that it was Friday the 13th, even when I know there were several times I had to write dates on something. Well, nothing bad has happened. Unless...it has but I just don't know about it yet...

Hello, people at work. It would have been nice to have not had to work today or at least to have gotten off a little early since it's Good Friday and a holiday weekend. And it would have been especially nice and kind and considerate of you to have not given me an assignment that is obviously going to have to be worked on at home this weekend. Some of us do observe the Easter holiday and consider it quite important.

Well, I finally found my cat after he'd been gone 3 days. He was visiting a house over half a mile up the road. He didn't look especially thrilled to see me or seem to appreciate the ride back home. Apparently he's now alpha cat of our area but I've got news for him...I hope he got a lot while off on his last patrol because his playboy days are over with come Tuesday morning. Anyway, he's now skinny, has a tiny torn place on the edge of his ear, has stickers and burrs all in his hair, his white feet are stained, and I think he might have a raging case of ear mites. I had to put him in the kennel thing on the back porch last night as no one could sleep for his loud protestations of his wish for freedom. Plus he tried to murder the blinds on my back door window.

I'm trying to remember if, during any of the novels that were set either between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope or between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, Darth Vader and Han Solo met. Anybody remember? I can't remember what I've read in the books, especially the earlier ones, and what I've read in fanfiction.

Also, is Splinter of the Mind's Eye considered by readers to go along with everything else or is it one of those books that doesn't line up with the information in others?

You know, every time I have a decent amount of money left over from a check something pops up to take it. I'm sitting here all choked up from some crud I've had for over a week. Throat is killing me, ears starting to hurt, all clogged up in the head and chest. A doctor visit will run at least $85 plus whatever else they do such as testing to make sure I don't have strep throat or x-rays to be sure I don't have pnuemonia. Then they'll be the medicine...an antibiotic and I have to only take certain kinds and of course they're usually expensive, decongestant, cough something, and who knows what else. Add all that up and there goes all my spending money for the rest of the month...that is if I even have enough, I'll probably have to charge half the stuff to the pharmacy.
